Responsible for global Risk Identification, standard control design, support implementation by learning and training, perform Health KPI design, define 'What does Good Look Like' all in close cooperation with global teams.
Perform deep dives and audits on specific processes, locations and/or data sets on files in Ocean and Air 3PL Logistics in TMS and SAP within DB Schenker.
Report in findings and recommendations for further improvement to sr teams.
Define standard monitoring requirements of file controllers in SGBS and local teams in line with minimum standards.
Define procedures to reconcile TMS - SAP on financial and non financial data, participate in projects to improve and standardize the same. This has to be performed for all locations in the world, on a monthly or continuous basis.
Co-Implement learnings to global SOP's, standards and monitoring services provided by File Controlling teams including but not limited to month end processes closing operational revenue, costs including accruals.
Improve quality and transparency of our numbers. By addressing issues the File Controlling is able to make meaning full impact by indirectly improve the Gross Profit, CM2, Processes (thus productivity) and Cash Flow.
All activities are to be performed in close cooperation with global file controlling and local operational accounting and controlling as well as local and SGBS Finance teams.
Perform file controlling on a professional way and with impact: By addressing issues as early as possible in the process, drive improved quality of Revenue, Operational Costs and thus Gross Profit, direct costs, CM2, detect leakages early and resolve the same, thus improve Gross Profit, CM2 and drive Cash Flow improvement by governance on timely and accurate billing.
Support the design and implementation of overall finance transformation initiatives
Contributes to a working environment and culture which drives the DB Schenker mindset of all file controlling team members
Supports implementation of best practices in file controlling with the goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement
Supports the global teams with continually enhancing quality and reducing cost by streamlining processes, procedures, and automation
Supports the local and global team members in resolving issues raised by them
Defines performance goals at the start of the year in coordination with the Head of File Controlling
Escalates any issues in a timely manner
Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
Anforderungen
Master's Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or Similar
3+ years of experience with risk identification, control/kpi design, audit and/or financial governance role.
Experienced to identify risks and exposures in processes and data. Experience in control design and definition of WGLL (What does Good Look Like), embedding these in KPI definitions.
Able to cut through large and complex data sets on a global scale.
Able to combine both governance and business mindset: Set teams up for successful performance, while safeguarding for risks and exposures in a proactive and cooperative manner.
Experience with Finance / Accounting ERP systems and ideally with TMS, Transport Management Systems (3PL AIR, Ocean, Land, Contract Logistics)
Strong knowledge and experience from logistic industry; or alternatively in a high-transactional or large data environment preferably with an international scope.
Experience with reporting to and cooperating with top-management, including company boards
Strong understanding of file management, job costing, business finance & Controlling processes
Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work and to generate alternatives and solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach toward business issues
Knowledge and understanding of financial and business management principles with the ability to communicate and prioritize business requirements
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, able to deal with cultural differences and truly connect with people across functions and geographies.
Must be highly skilled in MS Office and BI environments
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Strong business acumen, can-do mentality

The Global File Controller is a governance role within DB Schenker, that is responsible for detecting and reducing financial exposures on all operational files and orders, which includes identification of risks, defining controls, defining kpi's, performing audits/deep dives and issue reports to both provide transparency as well as drive resolutions. Ensure TMS and SAP reconcile at all times.
