Security Analyst

Job Overview

At Schenker International S.A. de C.V. we are looking for a Data Cloud Engineer to be part of our IT team, for our office in Guadalajara, Mexico, who will be resposible for monitoring, managing and improving the global security profile of Schenker.

What will be your challenges?

• Create and analyze vulnerability reporting and communicate with application owners to mitigate in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with platform services team to ensure OS level patches are performed as planned and address aged vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate with application owners and internal penetration testing team when necessary.
• Enforce timely implementation of security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices.
• Collaborate with the global IT Crisis Management team and align within the region.
• Review customer contracts to ensure alignment with company policies and controls and complete redlines when necessary.
• Perform assessments of third-party suppliers and work with procurement to include the IT Security Annex as an addendum to all contracts.
• Perform a Business Impact Analysis on all regional business applications.
• Complete both internal and customer audits and provide relevant evidence when required.
• Actively work with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure that all incidents are actively managed.
• Support an up-to-date inventory of our IT&D assets to enable proper management and decision making.
• Enforce completion of IT Security Awareness Campaigns and serve as an escalation path when necessary.

What you need to succeed?

• 2+ years of related experience in information technology and/or information security
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  
  Nice to have:
  * Proven experience as an IT Security Analyst or similar role.
  * Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  * Familiar with O365 products with strong Excel experience
  * Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+)
