    Head of Sustainability and Quality - UK & Ireland

    Location: UK & Ireland

    Position: Full-Time, Senior Leadership Role

    We are seeking an accomplished Head of Sustainability and Quality to lead our strategic initiatives across the UK and Ireland. This newly created role will play a pivotal part in advancing our commitment to quality, sustainability, health and safety and environmental (QSHSE) and dangerous goods stewardship. You will oversee a team of subject matter experts in each discipline, driving our vision to become a leader in within our industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of our global Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and cluster objectives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive compliance in QSHSE and dangerous goods across all business units.
    • Team Management: Oversee and mentor a team of subject matter experts across QSHSE, and dangerous goods. Ensure your team is empowered to provide best-in-class guidance and support.
    • Program Oversight: Manage a diverse portfolio of Sustainable Development Goals, working closely with regional and cluster teams to ensure effective implementation and alignment with cluster and corporate goals.
    • Performance, Reporting and Compliance: Implement robust tracking and reporting systems for ESG, QSHSE, including carbon reporting and dangerous goods KPIs. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining the highest levels of operational excellence.
    • Sustainability Advocacy: Foster a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement, promoting best practices across all levels of the organization.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the cluster's primary representative in network meetings and external forums, advocating for QSHSE solutions and best practices.
    • Consultative Support: Provide strategic advice to business units and commercial teams on customer-specific requirements, ESG & QSHSE trends, and quality management systems. Support the sales function with expertise on customer tenders and contracts.
    • Quality Management: Lead quality management initiatives, ensuring that all processes meet or exceed customer and regulatory expectations. Oversee the cluster's ISO certification and drive internal audit processes.
    • Training and Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance the capabilities of your team, management, and all employees to ensure compliance with all QSHSE standards.

    Requirements

    About You:

    • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading teams and driving strategy ideally in one of the key areas; quality, sustainability, health and safety, environment.
    • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of operational standards, KPIs, and compliance measures related to either quality, sustainability, health and safety, environment.
    • ESG Acumen: In-depth knowledge of ESG and carbon standards, regulations, and data reporting would be advantageous.
    • Senior-Level Expertise: Demonstrated success in operating at a senior level, with a strong ability to influence and align key stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
    • Team Management: Experience managing and developing teams of subject matter experts, with a focus on collaboration and empowerment.
    • Strategic Thinker: Ability to manage complex projects and initiatives, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and sustainable growth.
    • Collaborative Communication: A skilled communicator who can engage and align diverse teams and stakeholders towards common goals.
